Ball State Sports Link premieres its brand new LIVE show – 3DC GameDay from just outside Scheumann Stadium for every home football game.

Ball State Sports Link, the nation’s first digital sports production program, in partnership with Ball State Athletics, will produce a new live college gameday-style show prior to each Ball State Football home game this season.

3rd Down Chirp GameDay, driven by Stoops Automotive, will go live 90 minutes before kick from just outside Scheumann Stadium in CharlieTown.

3DC GameDay will be available on a variety of platforms, including live across the state of Indiana on Comcast Indiana 81, locally on Campus 57 and streaming live on ballstatesports.com.

The live show will also be available to watch in the free Sports Link mobile app for iPhone and Android devices. Search “Ball State Sports Link” in the App store to download.

For fans tailgating prior to Thursday’s season-opener against VMI, 3DC GameDay will be featured outside the stadium on a mobile jumbotron.

Modeled after the award-winning ESPN College Gameday, the show will feature live guests, Ball State football alumni, student contests, a live audience and more gameday fun. Anyone tailgating near the stadium is invited — and encouraged — to be part of the live audience. Follow @bsusportslink on Twitter for more information.

Thursday’s first show will take you inside summer training camp with the team, include pregame comments from Coach Pete Lembo and players, plus welcome Ball State alum Connor Ryan and freshman Lem Turner  (yes, “The Shot“) on set.

3DC GameDay is hosted by Noah Reed, with Tyler Bradfield and Connor Onion.  Jake Bartelson and Mick Tidrow will share gameday reports throughout the season.

Bradfield, who is the No. 2 ranked college student play-by-play announcer by STAA and the Jim Nantz Award, also returns as the student radio voice of the Cardinals on SL Radio on WCRD.  Onion ranks seventh in the same category and was the only sophomore in the Top 10 in the Nantz Award. He returns for his second season as the color analyst on the SL Radio broadcasts.

3DC GameDay is produced by graduate assistant Torey Fox and Tidrow. J.C. Obringer will direct the telecast.  All students enrolled in academic credit in Sports Link and the Digital Sports Production concentration will have opportunities to serve production roles on the telecast.

The 3DC GameDay set is located on the west lawn of the Alumni Center near CharlieTown, a new outdoor area which features food and beverages at the Chirp ‘n’ Grill, a family fun zone, and music prior to kick-off for every home football game hosted by President Paul Ferguson and First Lady, Grace.
