I know it has been a while since I have written a blog and I apologize for that.
Lately I have been gathering new inspiration as well as rejuvenating my life right now. And we’ve been working hard on the court as a team. Tonight, was another big step.
Anyway, because it is the holiday season, I wanted to speak about being thankful.
This is easily my favorite time of year, not only because it is basketball season, but the holiday season forces all of us to be thankful — or at least remind you of everything you are thankful for.
I am very thankful for my parents, brothers, coaches, teammates and most importantly Christ. I don’t always to have a lot of people around me, but the people I do have around me, I truly cherish those friendships.
I am thankful to those around me because they keep me motivated, and just being a positive influence in my life. I also am very thankful for my mentors — my dad, Jeremiah, is always trying to point things out to me, as well as my coach James Whitford and my uncle Aaron Lake.
Each one of these individuals have truly inspired me throughout the years. I am thankful because I have been able to have someone to talk to through the good times and the bad.
I am thankful for my two brothers Aaron Davis and Nick Osborne, they have been there for me through thick and thin, and giving me good advice.
Something else I think we can all be thankful for is all the delicious food that is on the table around this time of year. From everything to chicken, sweet potatoes, mac & cheese and cornbread. But most important, are the people surrounding the table. This is what I am most thankful for.
Enough about me, I want to know what you guys are most thankful for this year?
Remember to keep God first, as well as stay stay true, stay pure and stay real.
Thanks for the read and see you on the court,
JD
