Blackwell and Jennings are two of 26 players competing as part of the men’s individual invitational portion of the championship on the club’s Wanamaker Course.

The tournament also features various divisions of team competition. In total, more than 160 men and women from nearly 40 schools will be competing.

Blackwell, a native of Buffalo, New York, played in every event for Ball State this season, ranking third on the team with a 75.42 stroke average. Jennings, from Fort Wayne, Indiana, has competed in 12 events during his career with the Cardinals.

The PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship was first contested in 1987. PGA Golf Club has hosted the event since 1998, and the PGA of America was granted complete ownership and management of the tournament by the National Minority College Golf Scholarship Fund in 2006.

An hour-long highlight show featuring action from the championship will air June 29 (8 p.m.) on Golf Channel and will re-air July 5 (2 p.m.) and Aug. 23 (2 p.m.).
