The Ball State women’s swimming and diving team defeated Tiffin University, 200-61, while the BSU men posted 162.5-74.5 victory at the Lewellen Aquatics Center.

The meet, just the third in school history to be televised, was produced by Ball State Sports Link exclusively to social media platforms.  The previous two were also Sports Link productions.

For the men, freshman Chase Jackson placed first in the 100 backstroke at 53.46, second in the 200 backstroke at 1:59.29, and part of first finish in the 200 yard medley along with Luke Nondorf, Tanner Barton and Austin Green.

Senior Tanner Barton won all the events he competed in Saturday. Barton had a time of 1:58.61 in the 200 butterfly and a time of 52.58 in the 100 butterfly. He also competed in the 400 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay, both first place finishes.

For the women, the Cardinals had dominating performances, including 14 season bests on the swimming side and five season bests on the diving side.

Junior Amanda Kedzierski had her lifetime best in the 200 freestyle at 1:56.48. She was also part of the first-place finish in the 400 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay.

Freshman Anne Vormohr only finished in first place in all her events Saturday. Vormohr was part of the first-place finishes in the 400 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay. She also finished first in the 50 freestyle (24.69) and the 100 freestyle (53.92).
