“I’m sitting on the driveway with my dad’s head in my lap, begging him to hold on.”

As Ball State Women’s Basketball enters the 2017 Mid-American Conference Tournament, senior Jill Morrison‘s senior season has been special for another reason. Life.

In this #SLFeatured, go back to 2015-16 when Morrison’s basketball season was cut short due to an injury.  She recovered and was named a team captain as a senior, but her recovery pales in comparison to the recovery her father made the same  year.

Morrison is averaging just under 10 points per game as a starter for the No. 2 seeded Ball State women’s basketball team, who advanced straight to the quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference Tournament March 8 at 5 p.m. in Quicken Loans Arena against No. 7 Buffalo.

Ball State enters the contest winning four of its last five contests.  The Cardinals have won seven-straight on the road over their fellow MAC opponents, dating back to Jan. 21
