Sports Link To Produce @BallStateSoccer To ESPN3, ESPN+

Ball State Sports Link will produce its first and second live productions of the year to ESPN platforms this weekend as Ball State Soccer returns to the Briner Sports Complex.

In between Friday and Sunday soccer on ESPN, Sports Link will produce its second SL GameDay LIVE from Scheumann Stadium prior to Ball State Football’s 3 p.m. tilt Saturday against Western Kentucky. The football game will also be broadcast live on SL Digital (www.mixlr.com/bsusportslink).

Senior Alex Thomas moves to the booth this weekend after serving as the sideline reporter for soccer in 2017.

Sophomore Seena Greiwe is the executive producer of both soccer broadcasts, while junior Dylan Thompson is the assistant producer and director for both matches. Junior Luke Foster is the technical director.

The broadcasts will feature eight cameras and produced from Benny 1, the university’s 40-foot HD production truck.

Junior Jack Kizer will handle the play-by-play, senior Alex Thomas is the analyst and junior Preston Husband is the sideline reporter.

The Cardinals face Toledo Friday (Sept. 21) to open the conference portion of their schedule. Kickoff for that match is set for 5:00 p.m. ET.

Following the match with the Rockets, BSU will host Bowling Green Sunday (Sept. 23) at 2:00 p.m. ET.

On the pitch, Ball State rounded out the nonconference portion of its schedule Friday (Sept. 14) with a 3-1 win over Omaha and finished nonconference play with a 4-1-1 record.
