Sports Link + Muncie Burris: Varsity Volleyball Live Broadcasts

Ball State Sports Link, the nation’s first fully immersive sports production program, has teamed with Muncie Burris Athletics to broadcast as many as eight of its girls varsity volleyball matches this season.

The Owls are ranked No. 1 in Class 3A by IndianaPrepVolleyball.com and No. 8 overall entering the weekend under head coach Jim Craig.

Craig, a veteran coach, is in his first season leading the Owls. In 2019, Burris finished ranked in Class 3A with a 26-7 record.

The broadcast schedule begins Saturday (Sept. 5) as Sports Link Digital will broadcast four matches from the annual Shondell Family Classic at Ball Gym.

The eight-team tournament features Burris, Greenfield Central, Northeastern, Fairfield, Southwood, Guerin Catholic, Logansport and Evansville Memorial.

Ball State Sports Link’s streaming radio station available for free on any platform or mobile device.

The all-day coverage begins at 9 a.m. Saturday with Burris vs. Northeastern. All Burris matches, along with the the championship match will be streamed live on www.mixlr.com/bsusportslink.

Senior Jarin Matheny and sophomore Peyton Monnell will call the first weekend of action on SL Digital.

The broadcasts continue Sept. 12 vs. Yorktown in a televised match live from Ball Gym. The Carroll match is also slated for TV, while the others are SL Digital broadcasts.

The final regular season home match, Oct. 1 vs. New Castle, will be available via Sports Link Digital.
