Sports Link GameDay LIVE Returns Wednesday

As Ball State opens its 96th season of football Wednesday at Miami, the return to football also signals the return of one of the program’s signature shows, Sports Link GameDay.

Wednesday’s debut, which features head coach Mike Neu and players, airs live at 6 p.m.

Ball State alum and playmaker Jamill Smith, who ranks second in Ball State history with 1,988 career kickoff return yards, also joins this week’s program.

The shows will stream live anywhere, on any platform and any device through Sports Link’s social media platforms. Fan and audience interaction with the show through Twitter and Facebook Live is encouraged.

For the adjusted six-game regular season, Sports Link GameDay will air live from the new sports production center in the Ball Communications building. The space officially opened Oct. 8.

The executive production team for this year’s live shows is junior Faith Denig, sophomore Michael Garbarz and junior Tristan Russell.

Sophomore Peyton Monnell will host Wednesday’s first GameDay, while seniors Jarin Matheny and Shaemus Kreider join in studio. Freshmen Anna Lowe and Andrew Willett are segment hosts, while sophomore Kollin Brunes will be live from Yager Stadium with updates.

When the action returns to Muncie next week, junior Baylen Hite will take over the studio hosting duties, with junior Kyle Sellers and sophomore Hudson French in studio.

Matheny, Kreider and Monnell move to live SL Digital game broadcasts for home games.

Wednesday’s season opener can also be heard on SL Digital with sophomore Nathan Ganger and freshman Donnie Harmon on the call.
