The 20-3 Ball State Cardinals welcome MAC foe Bowling Green (15-6) to Worthen Arena on Friday, October 29. The Cardinals look to make yet another statement in the Mid American Conference with a win over the MAC East division leaders in Bowling Green.
Both coaches, Kelly Miller-Phillips for Ball State and Danijela Tomic for Bowling Green, know how important this game is not only for the overall MAC standings, but for momentum entering into the tournament next month.
At this point of the season, every match, set, and point matters. This also could prove to be a tune-up game for a matchup in the tournament later in the season as both teams are the one seed for their respective divisions within the MAC.
Both teams, Bowling Green and Ball State, have great defense with attacking skills to stay ahead of the game. The Falcons have proved in previous games their mental toughness to bring out a win, but for the Cardinals, the team has exceeded expectations. Ball State brings home wins because of their strong effort of keeping the ball in the air and over the net.
On this Alumni night, the Cardinals of old look to inspire the Cardinals of the present to a win in what could be their toughest test of the season to this point.
The match will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on SL Digital with coverage starting at 6:20pm.
