Basketball Returns; TableX Pregame & Halftime Show Debuts

Ball State Sports Link, the nations’ first fully immersive sports media production program, continues its ESPN+ broadcast season Nov. 8 with the return of college basketball.

Men’s basketball hosts Franklin College in its 2024-25 home opener at 5 p.m., while women’s basketball looks to improve to 2-0 on the season against IU Indy at approximately 7:30 p.m.

In addition to the games, Sports Link will debut The TableX Pregame & Halftime Show during both broadcasts.

The TableX team, under the direction of founder and owner Jim Skillman, crafted a new custom studio anchor desk for the students in Sports Link.

Sophomore J.J. Gregston will anchor each studio show, with senior Jordan Klimes and Ball State alumnus and former men’s basketball player Wayne Johnson adding the studio analysis.

Johnson was a four-year letterwinner at Ball State from 1996 through 1999, playing for head coach Ray McCallum. In 1998, the Cardinals won the MAC Regular Season Championship with a 21-8 overall record and advanced to the NIT.

The TableX Pregame & Halftime show is produced by Tyler Klimes and directed by Drew Hurst. Friday’s men’s broadcast is produced by Tristan Fluhr and directed by Nate Locker. Brayden Carroll, Griffin Leonard and Max Gillie are the announce team.

The women’s broadcast is produced by Evan Stowell and directed by Brian Short. The announce team is AJ Swiatek, Ryan Stojetz and Gillie.
