The 2025-26 college football season kicked off with a fresh visual identity, as ESPN debuted a fully redesigned graphics and animation package across its college football coverage. Developed by the ESPN Creative Studio team, the new look enhances storytelling, statistical analysis and game action with dynamic, impactful visuals with a focus on helmets, gloves and the pageantry and energy of the sport.
More than 60 ESPN staffers collaborated over several months to produce thousands of animations. The team got a head start with some of the look with the debut of last year’s SEC on ABC and College Football Playoff graphics packages, including new clock and score.
The ESPN Creative Studio team focused on scalability and longevity, ensuring the system could support more than 130 teams and more than a hundred games each weekend with the strategy to last the next five seasons. With cross-departmental collaboration and strategic planning, ESPN’s new graphics package sets the stage for a visually elevated college football season – one that’s built to evolve and endure.
