When Sajin Smith wrapped his collegiate tennis career this Spring, he became the fourth Smith in his family to play for legendary Ball State coach Bill Richards.
Smith becomes the fourth member of his family to play for the Cardinals. His dad Bryan was the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year in 1998 and a member of the 1997 and 1998 MAC Championship teams.
Smith’s uncle Mike also helped Ball State to two MAC titles in 1985 and 1986. His cousin Zane is the most recent member of the family that has played for Richards and was a member of the 2011 MAC championship squad.
