Sports Link: Stories (November 2023) PODCAST

The best stories in Ball State Sports return for November’s edition of Sports Link Stories. This episode is produced by Tyler Klimes and Tristan Fluhr, with Charlie Maurer and Emma Potter hosting. This month, get an inside look on what it takes to be a college golfer in a story produced by Jordan Klimes. 

See the power of giving from Ball State Field Hockey Goalie, Carleigh Hofelich, in a story produced by Jordan Klimes. Watch three former Wapahani High School Students reunite at Worthen in a story produced by Nate Locker. Lastly, take a deeper look into what Ball State Women’s Volleyball Assistant Coach, Brad Kline, does when he is not on the volleyball court. 

This season, Sports Link students collaborated with students from Dr. Christoph Thompson’s Music Media Production Program to incorporate original music compositions in their production. Senior Rowan Meyers‘ original score is the new theme for the series. 

In 2023, the program was honored at the Sports Video Group College Sports Media Awards earning the top prize for Outstanding Program Series in the collegiate sports. Sports Link Stories also won top sports program series in 2023 from the Central Great Lakes Chapter of National Association of Television Arts and Sciences.

This season of the multiple award-winning Sports Link Stories, presented by Victory Honda of Muncie, airs on flagship station Ball State PBS (WIPB-TV) in East Central Indiana. Ball State PBS reaches 30+ counties in East Central Indiana and West Central Ohio, including the Indianapolis metro area.
