A new season of the multiple award-winning Sports Link Stories, presented by Victory Honda of Muncie, returns for 2023-24 on flagship station Ball State PBS (WIPB-TV) in East Central Indiana. Ball State PBS reaches 30+ counties in East Central Indiana and West Central Ohio, including the Indianapolis metro area.
This half-hour studio show highlights the best stories in Ball State Sports as told by the creative storytellers of Sports Link. Juniors Tristan Fluhr and Tyler Klimes return as the program’s executive producers, with senior Charlie Maurer and Sports Link students serving as the studio hosts.
This season, Sports Link students collaborated with students from Dr. Christoph Thompson’s Music Media Production Program to incorporate original music compositions in their production. Senior Rowan Meyers‘ original score is the new theme for the series.
In 2023, the program was honored at the Sports Video Group College Sports Media Awards earning the top prize for Outstanding Program Series in the collegiate sports. Sports Link Stories also won top sports program series in 2023 from the Central Great Lakes Chapter of National Association of Television Arts and Sciences.
